This old gore classic was featured in a 1998 shocumentary Banned from Television. Filmed in Carlsbad, California, the video shows the outcome of a police chase which ended with an old man without pants exiting his vehicle and committing suicide by shooting himself in the head with a shotgun.

The old man was suspected of burglary. It only comes to prove that the cops in North America can really push a man over the edge. Take recent case in which 19 year old Abdul Arian was pushed by the cops to a point of no return so the man just stopped caring and went for a suicide by cop.

In this video, the pantless old man calmly exits his car as ready to fire cops surround him with their weapons drawn. The man bears a shotgun in his hand. He opens the trunk, loads shells from the trunk into the weapon, leans forward to place his head over the barrel and pulls the trigger.

The wavy cop who first signalled the incoming patrol car to get out of their line of fire and then waved at the cameraman to get out of the old man’s line of fire was like – what the fuck… all this car chase and standoff shit was for nothing?

I think he shot himself under the chin. It blasted his face and frontal brain lobes off. Not sure how he pulled the trigger, though. The grasp on the tip of the barrel makes me wonder… Maybe he used the big toe on that incredibly disgusting looking foot?

The pictures are supposedly from Russia though I couldn’t verify that. But since there are two bottle of Vodka on the improvised tea table next to the bed, I have no reason to suspect otherwise. I wonder what made an old naked man put shotgun to his chin. You’d think that since he’s made it through life this far, he wouldn’t meddle with suicide but obviously something made him.

Guy dressed in all white blows the brains right out of his head with a shotgun, yet his white clothes barely show any blood sprinklage. All the brain matter and blood splatter went sideways and settled at the base of the wall. Aside from his messed up skull, he looks good like new. Even his left flip flop still clings on to the toes.

One headshot and he’s done. One headshot and all his problems became somebody else’s problems. Nothing will bother him anymore. Ultimate solution is ultimate. Somebody is now stuck having to clean that mess up, but the fleshy virus world is such, that if they didn’t have the suicide to deal with, there would be some other crap to shove.

I personally think that parents who keep guns in the house deserve to see their kids with brains blown out of their motherfucking skulls. And many certainly do, as they certainly deserve to.

This kid got into a heated argument with his father who, being a responsible gun owner, kept a shotgun at home. Because the argument pissed the kid off for the moment, he took his father’s shotgun and blew his brains out without even bothering to take his muddy boots off. Snackbaaaar!

On December 23, 1985 two Heavy Metal fans from Sparks, Nevada, USA – 18 year old Raymond Belknap and 20 year old James Vance – attempted to commit suicides with a sawed-off 12-guage shotgun by a church in Reno. Raymond Belknap went first and successfully killed himself by blowing his brains out. James Vance attempted to do the same but only blew much of his face and frontal brain lobes off, turning his suicide attempt into an utter failure.

In the summer of 1990, James Vance’s family decided to sue Judas Priest, claiming that the band’s songs contained subliminal messages which enticed the listeners into committing suicides. They said Judas Priest was to blame for the deaths of Raymond Belknap and their son James Vance, who died 3 years after the shooting.

James Vance’s mother hired a lawyer whose job was to persuade the judge that the Judas Priest song “Better By You, Better Than Me” from the Stained Class album contained a “Do It” subliminal message. I don’t suppose Nike had their slogan going back then cause they would have gotten sued too.

Dream Deceivers: The Story Behind James Vance Vs. Judas Priest is a full name of the 1991 documentary by David Van Taylor that covers the trial and contains interviews with family members of the victims. Although said victims were only victims of their own uselessness as well as uselessness of their failed parents who brought up failed kids. Luckily, that’s also the way judge Jerry Whitehead who presided the trial saw it and the case was dismissed. Good riddance.

One of the ludicrous arguments brought up by the family was that if you played certain Judas Priest songs backwards, you could hear subliminal messages. I’ve listened to Heavy Metal, as well as Classical, Jazz, Blues, Industrial, and all kinds of other musical styles except mainstream pop for 3 decades and have yet to play myself a song backwards. I mean – who the hell exactly listens to music backwards?

It’s also quite convenient that of all the entities they could sue, the family picked a successful band – I suppose they realized that the only solid chance at making money from their son’s deaths is by suing someone who had money to begin with. Suing someone who’s broke or just about getting by won’t necessarily fill the plaintiff’s bank account even they you were to win. Suing someone with assets is the key.

Although I’m pretty sure that in this case, suing someone was also the way for the families to make themselves look like the victims. You bring up a failed kid who fucks up in life, then you as a parent are to blame. Unless of course you can successfully strip yourself of this responsibility by suing someone and all of a sudden your failed parenting is off the radar cause you put blame on a superficial bad guy. It’s a very disingenuous way to not account for your own mistakes. And by listening to what James Vance’s mother says in the video it’s pretty straightforward to assume that she’s in denial about what was really going on with her son and with Ray Belknap.

It also must be taken into an account that music of Judas Priest has been listened to by millions of people, yet it’s only these two nutters who offed themselves. I mean seriously – you want to blame a band for their deaths? Those boys had a history of alcohol and drug abuse, dropped out of school, their employment history was spotty at best and both were gun snackbarists (a gun at home = someone’s gonna get shot)… Plus their single mothers were failures start to finish. But hey… let’s blame Heavy Metal music and Judas Priest.

According to court records, in the two years before the shooting, James Vance had fled from his home 13 times. He was an only child who had no contact with his biological father and did not get along well with his adoptive father, a recovering alcoholic Emmit Vance.

His mother admitted that she had hit James often when he was young. James, in turn, assaulted her on a number of occasions and when he was 8 year old, choked her. Later when he was older, he pointed a loaded gun at her head and threatened to shoot her.

Raymond Belknap, like James Vance was a child of a single mother (aka a failed woman). He had three stepfathers and was beaten by the third. He was on probation for theft and under investigation for animal torture after shooting at neighbor’s animals with a dart gun.

“Well… do what? Mow the lawn? Have a cup of tea?” – that was Rob Halford’s response to the accusation that when played backwards, the song “Better by You, Better Than Me” contained the “Do It” subliminal message.

Christmas is such a depressing time of year, it inspires people to commit heinous murders. This young fellow was show 23 times with a 9mm handgun and twice with a 12 gauge shotgun. As you can see, one shotgun blast was aimed at his face. Whoever did this to him, really wanted him dead – hardly a chance of surviving near two dozen gunshots in the back – but the blast to the face ensured that an open casket funeral would be either impossible or really tricky.

The crime took place in the late evening hours on Wednesday December 26 2012 on the Princesa Isabel Street, Jardim Claudia suburb in western Sao Paulo, Brazil. Victim was identified as 21 year old Andrei Alves Espindola nicknamed Susegadinho. He was on probation, having been released from prison only a few days before his murder. Who the murder(s) were and why they killed him is unknown.

This guy blew the brain out of his skull with a shotgun and was very considerate about it by sitting on a hardwood floor instead of on the bed with clean white sheet on it. The most remarkable thing about these black and white photos is the brain matter that was ejected from the skull by the blast and landed on the floor whole. The front right lobe was probably blasted off a little, but otherwise this brain looks rather complete.

The second most remarkable thing is the nigh indestructible eye that was pushed out of the socket to give it a bulge, but otherwise remains completely unscathed – as is common with nigh indestructible eyes. He also looks like he dressed up and combed his hair for the suicide.

This man was shot in the head with a 12 gauge shotgun and also had a few 9mm rounds popped in him for good measure. He died with brain matter spilled over cobblestone walkway somewhere in Brazil. I did not have enough info on where exactly it happened or what lead to his brutal death.

I think this is the first 12 gauge shotgun to the head aftermath video with such close ups we’ve ever had on Best Gore. We have many pictures, but not videos so this will complement the collection well.

This photo can originally be seen in one of the early pressings/inserts of the Slayer album “Divine Intervention” and some speculate that it’s a photo of Kurt Cobain’s suicide. While I certainly have my doubts, and it certainly doesn’t match other photos believed to show the aftermath of Kurt Cobain’s suicide, it is a cool pic of a man who took a deadly headshot.

Sororicide is the name for an act of killing one’s sister. How could someone shove a shotgun in his own sister’s face and pull a trigger I will never be able to understand. But as Best Gore shows us, there are people perfectly capable of it.

41 year old Silvaneide Maria de Souza Aquino was asleep in her residence with her husband when the murderer – her own brother arrived, trying to break the door with an iron bar. The noise of breaking glass woke the couple up who went to see what was happening. As soon as the woman showed up at the door, her brother put a shotgun in her face and fired one shot. His sister died in front of him on the spot.

Mizael Gomes de Souza, who lives nearby had reportedly previously uttered death threats against the couple. The incident happened in rural Santa Cruz in Pernambuco, Brazil. Pernambuco is where Caruaru is.

I’m puzzled by the fact that an aged man who seems to be in a grave with one foot would commit suicide. What would drive an old man who put so many years in to such an act?

There are hand tools around the corpse, including a hacksaw but I don’t think he used it to saw off the barrel cause these are only suitable for wood cutting. The blast caused mad damage to his face. Not even the nigh indestructible eyes seem to have made it, but maybe they’re hiding under the skin somewhere.

I think the old man put the barrel under his chin, not in his mouth. It’s crazy that his hands are grasping onto the barrel, as if he had time to do that after pulling the trigger. Unless he triggered the shot with a toe or… some other body part in that region.

17 year old Edmílson Viana dos Santos nicknamed “De Menor” (The Minor) was apparently shot in the head with a 12 gauge shotgun. The blast opened up his skull into a richly red, flowery blossom.

The body was found on October 19, 2013 within a eucalyptus plantation in Monte Pascoal, in Itabela, rural Bahia, Brazil. Police suspect that the young man was taken to the plantation by his killer(s) to be executed there. The victim had previous brushes with the law for theft, drug use and drug trafficking.

From Thailand. There is very little in the way of back story, but as I understand it, a husband and wife had a domestic dispute which pushed the husband into pulling his gun on his own wife and firing shots at her. Apparently he missed because there were no other injuries or fatalities other than the husband’s reported. Distraught and enraged at the wrong his wife committed (whether real or imagined) he tries to burn their home down with himself inside, possibly intending to play the martyr, and he very nearly succeeds. However, it ends with a fizzle as he realizes he is not much of an arsonist or a murderer. Finally, in his last attempt to achieve some major kill points, he pulls out his trusty 12-gauge, places the barrel under his chin and BOOM! success splatters all over the walls, floor and ceiling of his partially burned home.

Unfortunately, there was no real article describing the events, so i was unable to keep with BG tradition in providing a hilarious translation.
